2. What data we process

The data you give us through this website, on WhatsApp, by email or in the office. In the “Get a quote” form this is: first name and surname, phone or email, date of birth, postcode, NIE or DNI, what you do for a living, the sum you want to insure, whether you want disability cover, the start date, the details of your loan if the insurance is for a mortgage or a loan (type, what is left to pay, years remaining, interest rate and whether you already have insurance for it) and anything else you want to tell us.

The form does not ask for health data. If you send us any of your own accord, we use it only to deal with your request and with your explicit consent (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR).

3. What we use it for and on what legal basis

  • Preparing the price or quote you ask us for. Basis: pre-contractual steps at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • If you take out a policy: arranging and managing your insurance as an exclusive Allianz agency, that is taking out the policy, collecting premiums, changes, renewals and claims. Basis: performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
  • Answering your enquiries through any channel. Basis: legitimate interest in replying to you (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We do not sell your data, we do not use it for third-party advertising and we do not carry out automated profiling with legal effects.

4. How the form data reaches us

There are two routes, depending on which button you press:

  • Send request: the form sends the data to our own web server, which forwards it by email to oficina@seguros.network, the office mailbox. The connection is encrypted (HTTPS). The server does not store your request: it forwards it and discards it.
  • Send via WhatsApp: your browser prepares the message and opens WhatsApp. The data leaves your phone or computer when you send it from there (see point 5). This website does not store it.

Processor: web hosting and email are with united-domains GmbH (Germany, EU), under a data processing agreement. On this route no data is transferred outside the EU.

Retention: the request is kept as an enquiry; if it does not lead to a contract, it is deleted after 12 months at the latest.

5. WhatsApp

To communicate with you we use WhatsApp Business, a service of WhatsApp Ireland Limited (Meta group). The messages, photos, documents and voice notes you send us are stored in your customer file in our management system so that we can deal with and document your request.

The WhatsApp buttons on this website open WhatsApp with a prepared message. Nothing is sent until you send it yourself, and before that you can change or delete the text.

Meta may process data outside the European Economic Area; in that case the transfer is based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or on standard contractual clauses of the European Commission. The use of WhatsApp is also governed by its own terms and privacy policy. If you prefer another channel, email us or come into the office.

6. This website

This website uses no cookies and no local storage, and no analytics, advertising or social media tools. It does not load fonts, images or programs from third parties. The only program of our own is the one that prepares the text of the “Get a quote” form.

When you visit the website, our hosting provider's server records the usual access data for technical purposes (IP address, date and time, page requested and browser) so that the site works and is secure. Basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not use this data to identify you. Hosting provider: united-domains GmbH, Gautinger Straße 10, 82319 Starnberg (Germany), which works with IONOS for this. united-domains keeps these logs for 14 days and IONOS for 8 weeks; after that they are deleted.

The links to WhatsApp, the AEPD and the DGSFP only open those services when you click them; from then on their own policies apply. When an external link is opened, this website asks the browser not to pass on the address of the page you came from.

7. Recipients

Your data is passed to Allianz, Compañía de Seguros y Reaseguros, S.A., on whose behalf we work as an exclusive agency, to the extent needed to calculate prices and to take out and manage your insurance and claims; to banks for collecting premiums; and to public authorities where the law requires it. Our technical providers (hosting, email, WhatsApp) process the data only on our instructions.

8. Retention period

We keep your data for as long as you are a customer and, after that, for the limitation and retention periods required by law. Enquiries that do not lead to a contract are kept for 12 months at most.

9. Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability, and withdraw any consent you have given at any time, by writing to oficina@profit-canarias.com or at our office, with a copy of an identity document. You can also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (www.aepd.es (opens in a new window)).

10. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or alteration. Our customer management system cannot be reached from the internet.
